The Jordan International Exhibition for Higher Education (JIEHE) which took place in Amman on 30 April 2016 was officially opened by Dr Yacoub Nasereddin and H.E. Heidi Venamore, the Australian ambassador in Jordan.
The event brought together educators and academics from leading educational institutions in the Middle East, Europe, North America and Australia.
The Middle East University in Jordan, of which Dr Nasereddin is Chairman of the Board of Trustees, was one of the first universities to join the IRI as a Knowledge Partner. In March, Dr Nasereddin also joined the IRI Advisory Council.
Dr Nasereddin: “Education is an essential component in achieving sustainable development and growth, and therefore an integral element of the IRI. Fostering international dialogue and collaboration, JIEHE 2016 formed an excellent platform to discuss developments in education on a global scale.”
Founded in 2015, the IRI has been established to lead the creation of a reporting framework for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) based on Islamic principles and values. It has been commended by partners in more than 40 countries including the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
