Islam provides a foundation for living life.

The purpose of the IRI Reporting Standard is to enable organisations throughout the world to examine the principles and values that guide their activities and express with clarity and simplicity their contribution to sustainable society and the environment. Patrons of the IRI share the vision of a corporate reporting protocol that lifts the values and principles of Islam into sharp perspective. These Key Supporters are companies and individuals who want to be a part of a transformational organization and are willing to contribute to its success.

The next three years are critical to the establishment and promulgation of an Islamic Standards protocol that expresses the values of Islam in the form of corporate guidance together with a Knowledge Centre, a Collaborative Forum and a Financial Platform that enhance the effectiveness of the Standards.

With very modest funding, the IRI has rapidly expanded from an idea, into a project, into an organization with a membership base in 50+ countries. It can safely be concluded that the ‘business case’ for the IRI has been made.

The envisioned reporting standard itself however, is yet to be created. The IRI recognizes that developing a shared reporting standard that is truly effective across all 57 Member States of the OIC – also catering for foreign companies that operate in these countries – is not a small task.

The IRI is seeking Founding Patrons that share the vision of a corporate reporting protocol that lifts the principles and values of Islam into sharp perspective. Founding Patrons are companies and individuals who are able and willing to contribute to the initial successes of the IRI.

The next three years are critical to the establishment and promulgation of a protocol that expresses the values of Islam in the form of corporate guidance together with a program of education for companies and individuals on how to comply and report.
