Dr Abdel-Aziz Sharabati, who is Head of Information (Statistical Analysis, Assessment and Evaluation) of the Middle East University in Jordan, said: “It is an honour to be appointed to the Board of Directors of the foundation for the IRI. I am very inspired by the wide-reaching potential of the IRI, and the establishment of the foundation is a logical next step in its rapid development. Ms Amal Daraghmeh-Masri of Palestine, Founder and CEO of the Ougarit Group for Marketing and previously named Best Woman Entrepreneur in the MENA, said: “The IRI has the potential to become a world-class reporting framework for CSR that will not only advance sustainable development in the Islamic world, but help accelerate international collaboration for global sustainability.” Ms Daraghmeh Masri has been appointed Knight (Chevalier) of the French National Order of Merit (Ordre national du Mérite) for her exceptional contribution to the economic advancement of women in the Arab world. Mr. Mohamed Amersi (Chairman) is engaged in a full sphere of activities ranging from for profit, responsible profit and non-profit. He is an active philanthropist and social conscience leader sitting on numerous Boards and Advisory Councils, including the Royal Agricultural University and the Prince’s Trust International. (2017)
Mr. Gerrit Heyns has a long history in institutional financial services, particularly in the emerging markets. He is a respected sustainability investor, championing resource efficiency in large listed companies and has been listed amongst the top 30 most influential people in global finance by the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
